v630i
3 commentsAfter a bad experience speaking with a client on the phone (being me the one that was calling) and having the conversation interrupted because I had no more credit (ewww), and having to go to some shop to topup the phone to then come back home and call again, I decided to get a contract somewhere.
Didn't took to much time to setup all this up, in less than 1 day I already had the order done and in a couple of days I received the phone. When registering on vodafone for a contract you got the option of asking for a free phone. On the list the one I preferred was a Sony Ericsson v630i, it even had some geeky external speakers, so yeah, I decided to get that one.

So the phone ended up to be quite cool (imho). It has 2 cameras, one for doing video conferences, and another for taking pictures (cybershoot technology), but to be honest, the quality of both ones aren't really cool (what can you expect? :D) One of the first things I tested was a trial game (Ridge Racer) that was available, and I was quite impressed of the power of this phone. Then, I browsed a bit pouet.net looking for some demos to test and after being able to used by first time the bluetooh technology between my ibook and the mobile (great stuff by the way), I found a couple, but the ones I really wanted to have were Nokia only (s60 series or something). Really a shame, however, the phone runs very well any J2ME one, very smooth, so, c'mon guys! Stop supporting Nokia like that and do compatible stuff! :D
Right, another platform to test some demos.
