Demoscene @ Cirsa January 18th 2006, trace
I'm not trying to compete with the famous curiouslikeacat-girl of the spanish demoscene and her series of demoscene gossip posts but there is some gossip I wanted to talk about. So if there is anything I like to gossip about sceners/retired-sceners is the place where they are / where they work (yes, this post was inspired by this pouet.net thread).

So, looks like the well-known Cirsa (btw, what a shitty website which uses a Reason example tune - quality!) is being recruiting quite a lot of catalan sceners latelly. The first one I knew that went to work there was Xphere / Zon@n (coder of 2 fast 2 intro, gran scener 2), then my brother (Dr.Kami / MCD+Fuzzion, coder of ep6invtro, kukka, ignition...) went to there to do some temporal work but looks like he's finally got a permanent job and he is in fact working with another new recruitment of Cirsa:  Chc / MCD (coder of moderator, crazy...). Working on there my brother find out that there where another MCD old member and he didn't know: Marathon Man / MCD (coder of rc-mania, revolution...). But that's not all, looks like HlodWig / Anaconda (coder of 359.60, Eunectex, The Requiem) is also working there!

As you can see, the famous topic "demosceners always finish working in games" is kind of true, because in addition to Cirsa (argh! that horrible website again!!) there is somewhere in Barcelona another games company (Microjocs), this time focused in mobile games which in fact was created by another well known amiga scener: Drareg / Ozone (coder of Smoke Bomb, Fetish,...) And this one really had a lot of sceners working, as far as I know BP / Fuzzion, Ufix / Fuzzion, CCM / Fuzzion, Sml / Fuzzion, Pasop / ex-threepixels, Madgoblin / Zon@n (you know what these people did, don't you? ;)) are working or did work there. But in this case there are always really bad rumours about the company and mr. Drareg. Hope those rumours stop some day ;)

Then we got Pyro as well, but I really don't know who exactly is working there, feel free to complete the information with those ones you know ;)

- Elric/Anaconda also works or worked for Cirsa
- 007 (a great amiga coder) is a founder of Microjocs
- Zener/Ozone works for Microjocs
- Napalm/Zon@n works/worked also for Microjocs
- I didn't work for Microjocs, just collaborated with music for some games (and also Gigarnaud/D-lirium)

and I'll post more people as soon as I remember them :)

En Pyro?... bueno tienes a Jare, Unai, Phornee, Evelred... y no se si habrá alguno más por allí actualmente (también estuvo Tom^Goblins por ejemplo)

Jare y Unai creo q ya se han "Pyrado"... x lo demás en Microjocs ya no qda casí nadie. Obviamente Drareg si (es uno de los dueños ) Ufix se piró hace medio año. Pasop creo q todavia está x ahí... Y CCM oooh gran CCM se piró de Micro el verano del 2005.

Oh yes, you mean I wasn't paid for working for them, that's true ;)

And it's also true that I composed some songs for their games, I don't know if they were finally included in the games or not, because I never saw the final game in the phones...

Por cierto, bp tampoco está en Microjocs ya desde hace tiempo. Quedan pasop y Zener aparte de los fundadores, según mis últimos datos.
