the geekest!
2 commentsYesterday I had to leave a little bit late from work and of course I couldn't go home with the bike when is that late. So I had to take the bus once again. When I was already in the bus I pass through a Virgin and there I seen lot of people waiting in the door, doing a queue. Then I realized that the next day (today) was the release of the PSP in Europe (and UK). Then I pass through a GAME and Dixons and there was the same scene. How can the people wait 10+h just to buy a handheld? It's one of those things that you hear, or you see on the TV but you never see in the real life.
So, just after arrive home, I had the idea to go work the next day by bus again. It is a longer journey than with the tube (metro) but then I would be able to see all those long queues of uber-dirty-geeks. Then I realized that I was being more geeks than they as I was to be a bit late at work just to see geeks doing queue. Anyway, that's what I did. I catched the number 7 this morning and I was going to get the camera with me but it wasn't charged. When I arrived to Oxford Street, the queues wasn't as long as expected, there was people waiting, and some shops were already opened. Booooohhhhh! However, when I arrived to Tottenham Court Road (where I'm working nowadays) I found Virgin opened. So my thought at this point was, If there was not too many people, and they are already open probably will be some spare ones. So, you can guess the rest :D
Now, the first thing I'll do is check all those hacks that the people did for it. I just did a fast search about it this morning and I found things like MAME, DOSBOX, NES & SNES EMULATORS, BROWSERS, MSN.. sounds very funny! :)~
