get a bike! - part 2 July 12th 2005, ricardo
Looks like, luckily, none of my friends / coworkers / family had troubles with the bombs. But as in Spring we are now reconstructing our building and improving everything of it, we are now working at I.T. Lab offices. And these offices are really in the center of London.

So, because that, I had to get the tube to go work, and wooah.. probably you were wondering about how the people here is going with that.. I was the first one to be scared to be in the train. Everyone that was entering into the carriage was doing the same I did: check out all the handbags that the people were wearing. That was veeery scary. Then, after arrive to Holborn, everyone was going very slow (as there was a lot of people) to the exit.

Actually, the last fact is normal one, everyday is the same, there is a lot of people on the tube first thing on the morning. And I really hate to have to walk within all the people like sheeps or so..

Because that I decided to go work with bike as well, thought this time the journey is veeeery long. I didn't have time to buy a helmet today so I will have to go trough Hyde Park tomorrow I think as it looks like the safest way.

that's not far at all!!
I've been riding a bike since i arrive to london a couple of years ago and i'm always quicker than any other of transport method.

From my home in Archway to Elephant & Castle:27 minutes
By tube: it takes that only the tube, so adding the walk to the station I'm 2/3 quiker ;p

And if you travel to the center this time improves exponentially, you just need a bit of practice ;p
